Synopsis
1941, Napoléon V is the ruler of France and scholars keep mysteriously disappearing. Without modern technology, the world runs on coal and steam. A young girl named April goes off in search of her scientist parents who vanished. Accompanied by her talking cat Darwin and a young rogue named Julius, she will brave mysteries and danger in order to discover who is capturing the scholars and why.
Director
After graduating from GOBELINS, l'école de l'image, Christian Desmares worked as a layout artist on the series Oggy and the Cockroaches and as an animator on Corto Maltese in Siberia. He was Head of Animation for the feature Persepolis (2007). He then animated on several projects including Aya of Yop City and the short La nuit américaine d'Angélique (2013), before joining the team at Je Suis Bien Content as director.
Franck Ekinci was born in Lyon in 1964. In 1996, he created Je Suis Bien Content a production company for arthouse films, advertisements and all other genres. He’s directed over a hundred animated projects, storyboarded and developed graphics and layouts for TV series, directed five live-action shorts and featurettes as well as written several episodes for TV series.
