2020 Taipei International Animation Festival Short Films Competition Lineup Announcement 63 Outstanding Nominated Films.

This year marks the sixth year of Taichung International Animation Festival (TIAF), and this year the submissions to its signature Short Films Competing Category has yet again exceeded 2000 applications. Out of 2028 submission from 96 countries, the preliminary juries had voted and selected 63 animated short films as the nominees. Veterans and newcomers alike can be seen included in the selections.

This year’s Nominees for “Short Films” and “Taiwanese Short Films” Nominees: From top to bottom, left to right are “Dreams Into Drawings”, “Washing Machine”, “Little Hilly”, “Pilar”, “Wade”, “The Weather is Lovely”.

 

Taipei Golden Horse Awards Best Animated Short Films Winner <Little Hilly> and Taipei Film Festival Best Animated Short Film Nominee <The Weather is Lovely> were one of the few Taiwanese animated short films chosen in the selection. The festival will offer eight awards, a total of 1.2 million TWD prize money along with 2 Audience Choice Awards. The 2020 TIAF will take place from November 27th to December 2nd in Taichung with a fantastic line-up of animated short from all across the world.
